Always nice to return and spend time soaking up the atmosphere. Plenty of public rooms to spend time relaxing in. Feels like home, in fact at times you do wonder who you've got staying as a guest!. Great staff do make staying here a pleasure and if conditions are right it's a good place to be for Aurora watching.
Magnificent stay at this beautiful castle!! The staff was beyond friendly, we went to celebrate our 1yr wedding anniversary, and they went above and beyond to make us feel very special We'd highly recommend staying here if trying to get away from the battle and bustle of the city! It's out enough were it offers tranquility and relaxation, and near enough to the town that you can go in for a bite to eat if you don't feel like eating at the castle restaurant! Our stay has been memorable and so has our first anniversary Thank you to everyone at the Ackergill Tower for making it so special
Beautiful location, stayed at the Tree house which would have been fabulous if all the plumbing worked and housekeeping was in keeping with a 'Luxury Estate'. Staff were very friendly but inexperienced. Nice little pub on the estate, however, service was slow and food average, service did not improve at breakfast. Unfortunately the standard of service, housekeeping and maintenance is not that of a five star luxury estate.
